Penjelasan Lengkap Command and Indirect Speech Beserta Contoh

Hay Learners, kali ini admin akan mencoba membahas mengenai Command dan Indirect Speech dalam tata Bahasa Inggris. Dalam keseharian tentu kita perlu mengungkapkan perintah ataupun larangan. Di dalam Bahasa Inggris tentu ada aturan tersendiri mengenai bagaimana penggunaannya sehingga dapat mengekspresikan kalimatnya dengan baik dan benar. Yuk langsung saja kita simak penjelasannya!

Kita dapat menggunakan kalimat perintah (commands) apabila ingin menyuruh seseorang melakukan sesuatu. Kata “please” dapat digunakan dalam kalimat perintah.

Contoh kalimat:

• Close the window!
• Be quite!
• Please turn of the fan!
• Close your book!

Ada tiga command yang harus kita kenali yakni negative command, indirect command, dan negative indirect command.

 

Negatif Commands

Tambahkan don’t untuk membuat kalimat perintah dalam bentuk negatif.

Contoh kalimat:

•           Don’t close the window
•           Please don’t turn off the fan
•           Don’t be quite
•           Don’t close your book

 

Indirect Commands

Kalimat perintah juga dapat dibentuk menjadi kalimat tidak langsung. Perhatikan contoh kalimat di bawah ini:

•          Dani told Riza to close the door
•           Nina asked Sammy to turn off the fan
•           The teacher told Agung to be quite

 

Negative Indirect Commands

Kalimat perintah tidak langsung juga dapat dibuat bentuk negatifnya. Perhatikan contoh kalimat di bawah ini:

•          Dani told Riza not to close the door
•          Nina asked Sammy not to turn off the fan
•          The teacher told Agung not to be quite
